Papier d’Arménie Burning Papers Starter Box
Burning papers are an-old home fragrance technique and we love these!
During a trip to Armenia, French chemist, Auguste Ponsot discovered the ancient art of burning benzoin resin as a way to disinfectant and delicately scent the home. In his Paris lab he developed a way to safely package the concept by diluting the resin with alcohol and imbuing fine strips of paper packed in booklets like matches.
The original design of the booklets was inspired by the 1900 Paris Expo graphics, where his Papier d’Armenie captivated what would become a loyal following. The starter box contains 2 booklets each of the three original scents.
